Prototype Release #1

Magic Circles

A magic-based RPG prototype where you draw your spells. Trace polygons on a ring of nodes to forge elements, wrap them in circles, stack layers into combos, and cast.

Launch

The Magic-Circle System

There are no spell menus. A spell is a drawing. Inside the editor you trace shapes across a ring of 12 nodes — and the number of sides decides the element.

3 SIDES · TRIANGLE
Air
Speed & knockback — sends targets flying.
4 SIDES · SQUARE
Fire
Damage & burn (damage over time).
5 SIDES · PENTAGON
Earth
Impact & force — bulldozes through.
6 SIDES · HEXAGON
Water
Slow & control.
1

Trace elements

Click node to node to draw a closed polygon. 3/4/5/6 sides → Air/Fire/Earth/Water. Each shape is the spell's fuel.

2

Drag circles

Drag on empty space to make a circle — the spell's container. Big = blunt/heavy, small = sharp/precise.

3

Add runes

Tap a circle's edge to drop a rune. The first rune steers the spell's launch direction.

4

Stack layers

Layers fire bottom-first; upper layers become payloads released on Right-Click — mid-flight combos and shape-shifts.

Power & Spectrum. A power slider scales your first layer (more range & mana cost). The power ÷ radius ratio sorts each cast onto a spectrum — from a piercing NEEDLE through DART, BOULDER, and a massive NOVA. Elements also fight each other on cast: Water beats Fire, Fire beats Earth, Earth beats Air, Air beats Water — overlapping opposites cancel out.
